Notification of move

You can submit a removal notification to the Post Office and the Local Register Office at the same time. You can easily register online at https://www.posti.fi/muuttoilmoitus/ or by using the form available for collection from the post office. The notification must be made no later than one week after the change.

Your new address data will be forwarded to the authorities, parishes, Kela, the tax administration and the armed forces. Please also remember to inform your bank, library, telephone company, employer and place of study, your family and the newspapers you subscribe to.

Keyword

You will receive the keys from the caretaker Petri Matinlass, who will hand over the apartment.

Do not attach personal or address-identifying features to the key. If you lose your key, report it to the caretaker immediately. The tenant will have to pay to have a new key made.

Guarantee

The security deposit must be paid no later than the time you collect the keys. A payment guarantee or personal guarantee can also be used as security, which must also be provided before the keys are handed over.

Home insurance

Get insurance before you move.

The building society's insurance will cover damage to the building's structures (walls, floor and roof), but any damage to personal property will only be covered by the home insurance policy you have taken out. No insurance will cover damage caused deliberately by the occupant.

If you have a valid insurance policy, remember to inform your insurance company of your change.

Electricity contract

You need to sign an electricity contract with the electricity company of your choice. It usually takes 2-3 working days to get electricity to your home after you place your order, so it's a good idea to be on time to get electricity to your home as soon as you move in. The tenant agrees to keep the electricity contract valid throughout the tenancy.

Internet

The rent of our apartments includes broadband connection (basic speed 50 mb) and internet access is free of charge.

Connect your modem and access the internet by calling Elisa's customer service and providing your contact details. You can also order extra speed directly from Elisa for an additional fee.

Fire alarm

A smoke alarm is a mandatory piece of equipment required by law and must be installed in every home. Check that your home has a smoke alarm and a fire blanket, and if these are missing or broken, report it to the maintenance company.
