TAKE A WATER BATH and DO THIS DURING IT
In the event of an unexpected water cut, it is always a good idea to have some drinking water at home, as well as refillable water containers. When the water supply is cut off, turn off the taps and ration the water.
PREVENT ELECTRIC/HEAT DISCONNECTIONS and DO THE FOLLOWING DURING THE DISCONNECTIONS
Make sure you always have easy access to torches, a battery-powered radio and spare batteries, as well as candles and matches. Switch off all household appliances and equipment during a power cut and avoid opening the freezer and fridge. Fireplaces and other fireplaces are good sources of backup heat in case of a power cut.
HOME
Every home should have a home reserve for unexpected situations. A home reserve means buying a little extra food and other things that are essential on a daily basis. This should be enough for several days, even a week. A household stock is a supply of food and goods in normal circulation, replenished as they are used. This keeps food fresh and goods usable.
